AUTOMATED NETWORK & SERVER MONITORING

One of the most important services that we offer is Automated Firewall, Server and/or Switch Monitoring* (ASM). This service will be configured either through a “server-to-server”, or a “client-to-server” configuration. WatchGuard (and other compatible firewalls) will allow a tunnel to be established via defined ports to enable PPP traffic to pass between two physical sites. This allows ICMP and SNMP packets to be collected by the monitoring station. This tunnel will allow Internal Office Solutions staff to monitor and administer the network infrastructure remotely from a variety of locations. A remote connection will ensure an expedited service in the event of a firewall/server/network related problem. ASM allows alerts to be forwarded to our support staff in the event that an error is generated on one of your servers or switches. Once notified that a threshold has been exceeded, we will immediately contact your IS staff to inform them that there may be a potential server or network problem. Our team will respond to the problem either in conjunction with your IS staff, or if given the responsibility, independently to resolve the problem.

NOTIFICATION & RESOLUTION

If there is a problem with your firewall, network devices, or servers we will inform your site owners or administrators immediately. Problems can be communicated via telephone, email or pager. You decide what service level agreement you would like us to provide.

We can manage the problem from start-to-finish to ensure an efficient and sound environment, or simply provide recommendations to your IS staff to arrive at a resolution.

Some things are better left to humans, that's why we our staff will log onto your network servers and switches to verify the following:

Events – The operating system's Application, Security and System logs will be reviewed to ensure that only informational events have occurred.

Backup – Your data is only as good as your last successful backup, and therefore it is imperative that the previous night's backup be verified as completed and successful. We will thoroughly inspect the backup and media logs.

Email – Your e-mail server application will be tested for inbound and outbound email messages to ensure that the delivery daemons are functioning properly.

Network Traffic – All manageable switches will be checked for unusually high network usage, loop back paths and configuration changes that may lead to network degradation, and poor performance.

Anti-Virus – Ensure the latest virus definition files have been downloaded, and that the server is using them.

AUTOMATED WEB SITE REPORTING & STATISTICS

Great, so you have a web site. How effective is it? IOSi can collect detailed information from your web server that will provide your IT & management staff with who visited, when they arrived, what they saw, how long they stayed and when they left your site:

Live daily summaries and historic breakdowns. Automatic daily/weekly/monthly summary reports via e-mail. IP addresses and URL Tracking, Usage by Analysis, Sessions, Hits, Page Views, Kilobytes, Average Session Time, Kb per Session, Hits per Session.

Statistics are also available via Pages by Page Views, Pages by Analysis, Downloads and Download Errors, Entry Point, Exit Point, Least Views, Viewed Once, Time Spent, Page View Errors and Directory paths.

In some configurations, it is possible to retrieve Browsers by Analysis, Browser Tag, Type, and User OS and New Tags, Referrers by Analysis, URL's, New URL's, Domains, Search Engines and Keywords, Sessions by Analysis, Network Identity, Network Location, Machine Identity.
